Play-Group/Nursery

Play-Group/Nursery is a stepping stone for small kids of age 2-3 years normally. So our facilitators help them adjust with the new environment, their tender hearts are nurtured with enormous love and care and are guided to become self – learners. The development of the child goes through a series of foundation processes which are implemented step-by-step starting with the basics and aim at achieving the ultimate goal of happiness- the starting blocks being love, care and security. Our teachers create an atmosphere where a child can freely express and learn under their caring guidance. We provide a secure loving environment where children develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

Hours:8.30a.m. to 11:45 a.m

Age Criteria:

• The child should be 2 years 10 months on the date of admissiom for Play-Group/Nursery

Time Activity

• 8:30-8:45 Self Registration & Free Play

Kids are given time to settle in. They place their bags and shoes in their respective corners, pick an activity of choice from the classroom and indulge in some “me” time. Attendance is also taken at this time.

• 8:45-9:00 Prayer & Assembly

Before starting the morning routine, prayer helps them focus and get ready for the challenges ahead.

• 9:00-9:45 Circle Time

Children gather around and sit with the teacher to discuss anything that may catch their fancy. It is often about their weekend plans or celebrations, sometimes though it can be on random things like “Why is the Sky Blue”? This circle time is given importance because it builds self confidence and social skills. The aim is also to improve vocabulary and get rid of inhibitions.

• 9:45-10:15 Snack Break

• 10:15-10:45 Focused Activity

This is a theme based activity organized by the class teacher.

• 10:45-11:15 Outdoor Play

• 11:15-11:30 Fruit Break

Teachers create animated story-boards to explain the nutritional value of the fruit.

• 11:30-11:45 Dispersal

Kids prepare to go home. Day ends by story-telling

Children who have opted for Day-Care go to the Day-Care room
